I grew up working in restaurants at a young age mostly because my father was in the industry. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the restaurant industry, I loved the people and the idea of good food and amazing service, but the managing part of it can be very overwhelming, and at times, my upper management team was very insecure about their positions and didn’t share much guidance. I enlisted in the Marines when I was 18 and fought my first war at age 20. I made a promise to myself; If I can come back from the war in one piece, I will go to college. Well, that didn’t go as planned, lol, I had no business in school. I honestly can say the only reason I graduated High school is probably because I was one of the few students that enlisted in the military at that time. After the military, I went back to the restaurant industry and was hired to manage a very respected Steakhouse in Houston. Fast forward to a few years ago, I launched my first Airbnb in Houston TX, and within a month I figure I had a chance to really apply all my management skills to this new journey. I quickly realized that many travelers loved my interior design and wall art, and at times, guest looked at me as if I’m an interior designer, and I don’t think I am lol. I’m just a person that likes nice things and loves to display them.

At my rentals, I am starting to do more themes now, however, it really falls into the color scheme of the artwork and the size. My home is a little different than my rentals, but they do share some similarities. The layout is pretty much the same – modern and minimalism. The art is a bit different though, I’m a big fan of contemporary and pop art. I can see me doing a rental like my home soon, but I want to perfect the décor before I do. Everyone loves it and I think one of the main reasons is because of the size and style of the artwork. Especially now since I designed the surrounding interior based on the art and its color.

I enjoy Science Fiction Drama movies, I haven’t seen a horror film in the past 11 years. I’m a big fan of acoustic versions of songs and I will always listen to my music a bit slower than others, chop and screw is what they call it in here in Houston (that also includes jingle bells during Christmas) I’m a proud owner of a cologne collection and I drink a lot of water. I hope to write my kids a book one day, and the best part of my day is that I can wear anything I want lol.
